Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has voiced their support for my new show, Jamie’s Ministry of Food. It aired on Channel 4 last week and many of you have posted comments on the Forums about that first episode. It seems like the show has really struck a chord because there have been some very emotional responses. For me, that means the show is doing it's job, because I think we should be getting emotional about these issues.

Do check out the Forums when you get a chance. Lots of you have put up fantastic tips about all sorts of important things like cooking on a budget, tips for beginners and wonderful personal stories about cooking. Every now and then I'll be on the Forums myself after the shows air answering a few questions about the Ministry of Food. We'll also be posting up news items on the Ministry of Food website so keep an eye out for those.

I also want to say thanks to those of you who've been registering to Pass It On on the Ministry of Food website. When you start Passing It On you'll be helping to make a massive difference so please, keep those registrations coming!

My new book, also called Ministry of Food, is out now. It was really inspired by everything I learnt while filming the series and is full of recipes to help make cooking easy for absolutely anyone. I really hope you enjoy the rest of this series and the book, and that both inspire you to get involved.
